Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Our team at Main Street Dental understand that sometimes our patients feel anxious or scared when it is time to visit the dentist. We are passionate about meeting our patients needs this is why we offer happy gas for anxious patients.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation is blended up with oxygen and is put into a mask and place over the patients nose. The happy gas is designed to ease our patients’ nerves, minimising fear. Our happy gas treatment can cause you to feel light-headed and over joyed during/after your treatment.
Penthrox® Inhalation
We also offer Penthrox® inhalation for anxious patients who visit us at Main Street Dental. This is used to reduce pain during your dental procedure. When using the Penthrox® Inhalation you should feel a relief from any pain after 6 – 10 breaths. The level of your overall health will determine whether you are eligible to use the Penthrox® inhalation. If you have heart disease, kidney disease or reduced function of your kidneys, difficulty breathing or head injury you will not be eligible for this treatment.
